Maria V. Luna, @mariavluna, is a writer who received her MFA in Creative Writing at Rutgers University. Shortly after, she embarked on what she thought would be a hiatus, time to write, but resulted in a yearlong teaching experience in the Dominican Republic.  While she is now stateside, the ocean continues to resound in her ears and palm trees still sway in her heart. Maria transmits the sea’s lulling rhythm as a published fiction writer, closet poet and feature writer and editor for Latin Trends Magazine and website.  She is also a composition and foundations instructor at various colleges in New Jersey.
